Terms & data processing
These terms govern a merchant's use of Ferro. By installing or using Ferro, the merchant agrees to these terms and instructs Ferro to process data only as needed to provide the service.
Service
Ferro provides AI-powered virtual try-on tools, product controls, usage reporting, and related support for Shopify stores. Merchants are responsible for their store content and lawful use of Ferro.
Merchant instructions and roles
For personal data submitted through a merchant's store, the merchant is the controller and Ferro acts as a processor or service provider. Ferro processes that data only on the merchant's documented instructions, including these terms and shopper actions within the service, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
Data processed and purpose
Ferro processes the minimum data described in its Privacy Policy, including a Shopify customer identifier, shopper-provided images, generated looks, product information, and technical usage data. It uses this data to authenticate shoppers, generate and save try-on results, operate merchant controls, manage billing, prevent abuse, and maintain the service. Ferro does not sell personal data or use shopper photos for advertising.
Security and subprocessors
Ferro uses reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, including encrypted transport, managed cloud storage, access controls, and authenticated application endpoints. Ferro may use Shopify, Google Cloud and Firebase, and OpenAI as subprocessors to provide the service, as further described in the Privacy Policy.
Retention, deletion, and requests
Ferro retains personal data only while needed to provide the service or meet legal obligations. Shoppers can delete saved photos and looks. Ferro processes Shopify's mandatory privacy webhooks and deletes customer or shop data when valid deletion requests are received. Merchants can also request access or deletion by contacting Ferro.
Confidentiality and incidents
Ferro limits personal-data access to authorised people and providers who need it to operate the service. Ferro will notify affected merchants of a confirmed personal-data breach as required by applicable law and will reasonably assist with data subject requests and compliance obligations.
Termination
A merchant may stop using Ferro by uninstalling it. Ferro may suspend access for misuse, security risk, or non-payment. On termination, store data is deleted or retained only where required by law or legitimate accounting and dispute-resolution needs.
